Meet Hexy, the Low-Cost All-In-One Six-Legged Robot Kit - murphyroyshe

Robots are awesome, naturally, but all time I get the urge to build one and only, I'm e'er stymied aside my utter lack of knowledge. I'd love to be able to get a kit for an awesome automaton, but they'Re high-priced, particularly when it comes to hexapods. Most of the kits deal out for about $1000, so buying one International Relations and Security Network't an option, especially if you're a cash-strapped college scholar. Quick, to Kickstarter!

That's where I saw Joseph Schlesinger opening a stick out to make hexapod bots Thomas More affordable. He's interrogatory for avail to make Hexy, an inexpensive unfastened source hexapod golem kit. He plans to include everything you need to build it in the kit, even the screwdriver.

Joseph wants to sell his robot kits for $200, which is a lot fewer than what other kits hope. He's already reached his pledge goal, but you can still pick upward a kit up by pledging, OR even have him assemble it if you'ray shy about electronics.

The golem is easy to build, apparently, and has plenty of room for expanding upon. The automaton uses the same screws for everything, and the kit includes extras in case you need them, so you can break out your 3D printer and start making some awesome additions like a optical maser vision mount, Beaver State a grappling knock off.

Too, deal how cute he is with his ultrasonic distance sensor eyes. Aww.
